How to pull a credit report

In Know-it, you can purchase single credit reports as you need them. To do so, go to our in-app Marketplace.

💡 A credit report is valid for 1 year from date of purchase. You can pull this credit report on any UK company within the year.
Once you’ve pulled a credit report, the platform will monitor it for you for the next 12 months, and alert you if there are any changes. 

You will then be able to pull a new credit report to see the updated changes.

💡 The platform currently only allows you to pull credit reports on UK businesses registered with the Companies House.

1. Pull a credit report on a company that is not in your ledger

To pull a credit report from a company that is not one of your customers yet, you can search for it.

• Go to Check-it > Credit Reports > New Credit Report

💡 When pulling a credit report from a search, we recommend using the Company Registration Number, as it will give the most accurate result the fastest.

• Click on 'Use credits' once you found the company you are looking for. The Status column will already give you an overview of the Status of this company (Active or NonActive) before purchasing the credit report.

💡 If you do not have any credit reports available, you will get a message to redirect you toward the marketplace – as shown below.

You can view the credit report directly on the platform by clicking on the  or printing the report. This credit report is now available under Check-it > Dashboard or Check-it > Credit report.

2. Pull a credit report from your customer list

• Go to My Companies (menu on the left)
• Look for the customer and click on the customer’s name in the list 
• Click on the Credit report tab > '+ New Credit Report'

• Confirm that you want to pull a credit report
• Once purchased, allow a few seconds for the credit report to come through - see here for more details on how to read a credit report
  
  You can view the credit report directly on the platform by clicking on the  or printing the report. This credit report is now available under Check-it > Dashboard or Check-it > Credit report.
