How to view Gazette notices – Know It

Available with a ledger connected in Free Trial, Free Plan, Full Subscription or Add-ons Check-it or Chase-it

Know-it will monitor the customers in your ledger and alert you of any change. There are different types of monitoring in the platform: Gazette Notices monitoring, Companies House updates monitoring, Unsecured creditors monitoring and CreditSafe monitoring.

1. What are the Gazette notices?

The Gazette is a combination of three publications: The London Gazette, The Belfast Gazette and The Edinburgh Gazette. These are official journals of record.

The Gazette website provides information on different types of notices and the legislation that governs their publication. Examples of those who place official records include insolvency practitioners and solicitors.

2. How can Know-it monitor Gazette notices?

Know-it will use the existing data in your accountancy software to monitor your customers. To do so the platform will use:

The company name
The company registration number or postcode

This allows the platform to match the company against a Gazette record. View here how to view and fix missing data in your ledger which could prevent you from monitoring your customers.

3. Where to view notices

3.1. Via the Dashboard

When you log in, the Dashboard will give you an overview of what has happened in your ledger in a selected time frame

You can change this time frame by selecting different dates in the top-right-hand corner

Click on 'View info' below Company notices
View the update directly on the platform

3.2. Via the Gazette notices overview

Go to Check-it > Notices
On this page, you will view every Gazette notice in the UK as and when they are being released. You can look for a specific company in the search bar, and view the notice directly on the platform.

3.3. Via the Company overview

Go to My Companies
Click on a company name
Click on the 'Notices' tab
